How are claims reimbursements calculated?

  • Reimbursements are determined in US dollars and paid in the requested currency based on currency exchange rates as published on the date the Master Cancel coverage is purchased. Transaction fees may apply.
  • Reimbursements are offset by any successful re-booking fees earned.
  • Property Managers keep their standard booking commission on the re-bookings.
  • For example,if a $1,000 stay is cancelled, claim filed, then is re-booked for $600, and you receive the re-booking 5% commission credit, you will be reimbursed $430
    • $1,000 lost booking
    • $600 re-booking amount
    • $30 earned commission credit (5% x $600)
    • $1,000 – $570 ($600 re-booking – $30 commission credit) = $430
    • No deductible because property was re-booked for more than 50%
    • Property Manager claim paid at $430
